Abstract

This study was intended to examine the effect of Motivational Teacher Development on Teacher Effectiveness inUniversal Secondary Education (USE) in Yumbe District – Uganda. The study adopted a Case Study Design to allow in-depth study. Quantitative and Qualitative research paradigm were engaged. A total of 120 questionnaires were administered to the respondents and all the questionnaires were received back, registering a response rate of 100%. Descriptive statistics were the main technique used to analyze the data generated to produce results. On the overall, the study established that Motivational Teacher Development was inadequate and that it contributed to teacher ineffectiveness in USE schools in Yumbe District.
